Scenic Float Trip
Enjoy a relaxing day on Idaho’s beautiful Kootenai River. Our scenic tours explore the canyon section of the Kootenai that runs from the Montana-Idaho boarder to Twin Rivers Resort. Your guide will share in-depth knowledge about the local flora and the area’s history. You’ll want to bring your camera to capture both the stunning landscape and the wildlife, which often includes bald eagles, osprey, herons, ducks, deer, elk, bears, and more. You’ll stop for lunch along the river, where you will have a chance to explore the bank while your guide prepares your lunch. Groups of four or more guests experience the river via raft with the option of stand-up paddle boards. Groups of three or fewer have the option of enjoying their tour from a classic wooden drift boat.

What to Expect
- Start Time: Tailored to conditions and desires of guests.
- Meeting Location: Samuels 76 North of Sandpoint; can be adjusted if needed.
- Transportation: Guests ride share with guides from meeting location to the river and back.
- Trip Length: 5-6 hours; slightly shorter trips available if communicated in advance.
- Food & Drinks: Stream-side lunch is provided, along with snacks and beverages. Please bring your own water bottle.
- Equipment: All life jackets and paddle boards.

My wife gave me a drift boat fly fishing excursion as a Christmas present. Aaron handled the booking for us and his communication was superb. Our guide, Noah, was at the designated meet-up location on time and greeted us enthusiastically. Our trip took place in the fall after Noah had already done something like 90 trips throughout the summer months. In spite of that, he treated us with no sign of end-of-season burnout whatsoever.
We had a blast! Noah coached both of us all along the 13-mile route. He put that boat right where we needed to be. We caught a bunch of fish and we enjoyed a delicious lunch that Noah packed for us.
All in all it was a very memorable day.

Enjoyed an awesome day on the river. Our guide, Noah was fabulous. He really knows the river and how to catch fish. With his assistance we caught lots of fish. It was a great day filled with laughter, instruction and beautiful scenery. Definitely recommend a day on the river with Noah.

We went on a fishing trip today with Noah and Natty. They were the best guides! They provided everything poles, lures, the boat and the best instruction. They were so knowledgeable about everything fly fishing and the river. They also had a wonderful lunch for us that we ate at waters edge. I would recommend this company to anyone who would like a beautiful fishing adventure on the river.

Spent the day yesterday with Erin fly fishing the Kootenai River. I had never fly fished and I had a great experience! Erin is a fantastic teacher who had great patience with me. While my partner landed several large trout, I had some exciting hits but was unable to get any in the boat. It didn’t matter as I thoroughly enjoyed the day. Don’t hesitate to call Erin and book him for your guide. He is incredibly knowledgeable about fly fishing the Kootenai!

- A $100 deposit is required within 10 days of booking to confirm reservation.
- The full balance of the trip is due 60 days prior to arrival – payable by check or credit card.
- Deposit is fully refundable should you have to cancel your reservation up to 60 days prior to your visit.
- Cancelations within 60 days of trip may be rescheduled. Failure to reschedule will result in a forfeited deposit.
- Customers are responsible for the full cost of trips cancelled within 30 days. We strongly recommend our guests purchase travel insurance.
